Front-line security includes such products as firewalls (devices that control access to a network) and intrusion detection appliances (devices that alert on security breaches). They are normally implemented at the “edge” of a network, controlling traffic between a private LAN and the Internet or a business partner network. These devices must be properly installed and monitored in order to provide the protection they are designed for. TNS is very experienced with these complex products.
