TRUSTED NETWORK SOLUTIONS MAKES THE NEWS WITH AN INNOVATIVE VPN SOLUTION
Transport Topics has Published an Article about a Solution TNS has Provided C.R. England
Salt Lake City, Utah, March 15, 2006 - Trusted Network Solutions (TNS), a leading network infrastructure and security Value Added Reseller, today announced that Transport Topics Magazine published an article detailing an innovative solution provided to C.R. England by TNS. The article explains how C.R. England implemented a FatPipe Networks Internet load balancing appliance to allow for a cost saving conversion from frame relay to a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
In the article, Dirk Anderson, VP of Technology at C.R. England, was quoted as saying C.R. England increased their bandwidth by about eight times without increasing costs. Dave Norwood, President of TNS, was also mentioned in the article. Mr. Norwood explained how the additional bandwidth would have cost C.R. England an additional $15,000 per month had C.R. England stayed with frame relay.
The solution provided by TNS and FatPipe Networks involved moving C.R. England off an expensive private frame relay network and onto a VPN over the Internet. C.R. England's network connects its 35 remote offices to the headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Critical company data flows over this data network.
The biggest challenge was leveraging the inexpensive bandwidth offered by the Internet without sacrificing the security and stability of C.R. England's legacy frame relay network. The use of redundant Internet connections and routers, IP SEC VPNs, and redundant firewalls accomplished this goal. FatPipe Networks' appliances were used to load balance traffic across multiple Internet connections, increasing bandwidth and offering fault tolerance. Trusted Network Solutions brought together all the pieces and gave C.R. England a single point of contact for this complex project. TNS replicated the C.R. England network in its lab to ensure everything worked properly before the cut-over.
